With this book, we wanted to shine a light on the terrific work of Indiana bartenders.

These recipes come entirely from Indiana bartenders using Cardinal Spirits — from as far north as South Bend and as far south as Evansville. Dive bars and craft cocktail bars, old bars and new bars. And, of course, our bar, here at Cardinal Spirits in Bloomington.

There is no other cocktail book like this one.

Hundreds of thousands of cocktail recipes exist online. But some things are just better on paper. When you’re mixing a drink, you want to remember what you like and what you don’t, tips and tricks, and maybe even change the recipe to match your tastes. That’s hard to do online. With this book, we want you to dog-ear your favorite recipes, mark up the pages with your notes, add additional ingredients and cross out the ones you don’t like. Maybe even spill a drop on the page for a scratch-and-sniff reminder next time around.

This book serves as a token of our appreciation to all of the fine folks who proudly pour Cardinal Spirits. We’re working hard to make the best local spirits we can, and they work hard to showcase them in their best light.
